Thierry Betancourt

“Simplify, simplify, if you can’t… create poetry.”

Steeped in the culture of French 18th century decorative arts Thierry Betancourt channels this world into 21st century design. His practice is to reinterpret the traditional materials used by the artisans of the past to create a new vocabulary of more architectural structures. Interested in space and proportion Thierry’s pieces are like an assemblage of building-blocks that once assembled produce highly measured structural forms.
